City Council District 5 candidate Denise Parkinson speaks at the Memphis Center for Independent Living’s Political Soapbox. Candidates were each asked to respond to the following question, “What do you have to say about keeping the promise of the American with Disabilities Act? How, if elected, would you use your position to further the cause of people with disabilities have full and equal access to the community?” The soapbox was moderated by Randy Alexander, Community Organizer and Systems Change Advocate at MCIL.
